How to get to Sovereign Hill

Situated in the historic city of Ballarat, Sovereign Hill is located in Bradshaw St and can be easily accessed by car, train and tour coaches operating daily from Melbourne

By Car
Sovereign Hill is a comfortable 90 minute drive from Melbourne along the Western highway (or only an hour from Melbourne Airport!) Once in Ballarat, just follow the brown and white tourist signs to Sovereign Hill.

By Train
You can travel by V/ Line train from Melbourne (Southern Cross Station) to Ballarat. Download a timetable here. (Scroll down for Melbourne to Ballarat times.) From the Ballarat train station in Lydiard Street you will need to take either a taxi or bus to Sovereign Hill.
